Do not under any circumstances use this business for alterations. They just ripped me off for $22 to let out the waist in a pair of pants! No dry clean no press just the alteration. They gouge us because they are the only such business in Bigfork and they take advantage of that.
This place is always clean and tidy. The washers and dryers usually are all in working order and Evette that works there is great. You are allowed to bring your dog in on a leash. There are plenty of places around at bring in lunch while you are doing your laundry. They also have a drop off service for them to wash dry and fold for you.
As far as laundry places go, this is a good as it gets. Lots of parking (you can even find a spot of two large enough for big RV), clean facility, nearby restaurants, etc. The machines are in good repair, change and soap are available on site, and there are seats and tables.
Clean facility but the lady who works there is PERMANENTLY outside smoking with a hairstylist that works next door. She (literally) parks in front of the entrance, sits in her car, and chain smokes all day. She often leaves the door to the laundry mat open, so it periodically smells like smoke in the facility. I've been here several times since it's the only laundry mat for miles. When a machine eats quarters, and many of the dryers do, you will never get help, she's too busy smoking. I've noticed that many patrons leave their clothes and go do other errands, they don't return for quite a while so their laundry sits in the machines for an hour while others wait. I've been lucky enough to find available machines every time but I feel for those who don't. The Washboard might want to have a policy about leaving your laundry. Seeing that you don't have another choice in Bigfork, it is what it is.
It would get 5 stars if they had WiFi. I looked for info about it, and for a network and couldn't find any. Perhaps they have it, or are adding it. If that's the case, then 5 stars.
I refer to it as "the world’s best laundromat." Yvette is friendly and entertaining and always helpful if there's a problem with a machine. She's a hard worker. I don't remember the name of the owner, but he needs to get the machines repaired more quickly; that's my only complaint. Overall, it's a great place to hang out, especially if you get pizza from When In Rome!
