Don't let the photos and description on their website and hotel websites fool you. This is a run down motel, which they call cabins. When the girl behind the desk told me where my "cabin" was, it was in fact the shabby motel room behind the office. I questioned her, because I had booked a CABIN on the Flathead lake. I was told they call the rooms "Cabin/Motel Room interchangeably". WAIT..WHAT??! This was NOT a cabin, and you had to walk through, what appears to be the "bad part of town" to get to the path that takes you to the lake. The entire neighborhood uses this 12+ft of beach, so relaxing and sitting with your feet in the water, which, by the way, is the reason I booked this place, isn't so easy...or enjoyable. The driveways are gravel and since they do not have A/C, keeping the windows open in the hopes of a breeze off the lake, with isn't even in view, makes for a dusty vacation. I'm not sure who the people are that are giving it 5 stars, but in my opinion...it doesn't deserve the one star that I had to give to even right this review. BUYER BEWARE!!
The food was quick but still truly gourmet. From a simple yogurt-fruit parfait to sandwiches and burritos, the flavors were excellent and well-balanced. I even caught a morning of baked goods; the pastry, cream and berry concoction finished with mint was to die for!
My partner and I stopped here for breakfast the three days we were on vacation. The staff was friendly, professional and informative. The coffee, both drip and cafe drinks, were wonderful.
We stayed as RV guests, with family in tent site and cabin. Facility is clean and well maintained. There are bathrooms and laundry facilities. The owners were happy to accommodate requests for specific locations and additional appliances in the cabin. The lake is a very close walk, and it's so beautiful!!
My husband and I stayed at Flathead Lake Resort for two nights in February. Though it is the middle of winter in Montana, we had a great stay! We were in a newly renovated hotel room that had nice new white linens, great new duvet covers (I'm a designer, so I like these touches!) and a fun and cozy color scheme. The owners, Grant and Jenny were both present during our stay and were friendly and accommodating. The wifi worked great and the beach was snow covered, but we were still able to enjoy the lake. Only bad thing was the Gourmet Galley (restaurant across the street with well known baked goods) was closed! All in all we will recommend this place to anyone that is visiting Flathead Lake!
There are tables inside and outside. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable and clean. It is slightly more expensive, but that is the norm on the lakeshore. It's supply and demand combined with the cost of getting supplies out to a more remote location.
Stayed for three nights as a tent camper. The tent area is large and you can put your tent wherever you'd like. Flat, even ground was great for tenting. Good hammocking trees, picnic table, and chairs provided. The bathroom/shower house is very nice. Private and always clean. The location is great, very close to the beach and to some wonderful places to eat. Shoutout to the staff Grant, Jenny, Bob, and Leah for making my stay wonderful!
Definitely a place worth stopping.
