The staff was courteous and attentive.

We arrived here and we're told we could not have a flight of beer due to the "lack of glasses" since there was a birthday party about to arrive which never came in our time there... So we shrugged it off and ordered an IPA. It was delicious! However, behind the bartender was literally a stack of flight glasses.

On a Sunday evening at 7pm, waited 20 minutes in the bar for an outside table. The ale was a pretty standard light, wait staff were friendly, view of the lake thru the yellow pines was Flathead gorgeous. Food was pretty tasty—we had wings, salad and the fish tacos. The only advice I'd have for the chef is to figure out a way to plate the fish tacos so the tortillas don't marinate in sauce—big mess. Also, cutting cod into cubes, rather than strips, makes it impossible to contain. For a more authentic experience, I'd serve sauce on the side or experiment with serving the fish/meat, slaw, salsa and sauce in small dishes on a large platter with corn tortillas on the side (especially for the cod, yellow corn tortillas = a nice color contrast...besides, fish tacos just shouldn't be on anything but corn) so diners can make their own tacos...no more sauce-logged food!

The physical part of this property is impressive, modern, new, trendy and is perfectly located overlooking Flathead Lake. The service is very good with friendly and helpful wait staff. That is where the positives end. The food is poor. The salmon in the sandwich was past its prime and fishy tasting. The pretzel bun was tough and difficult to bite through. The cod in the tacos was cold. The beer was average brew pub variety. Even though this place has Lake in its name, take my advice and stay away from any of the menu items that come from water.

Beer is good, service needs work.

I had a cheeseburger with fries and beer onion rings. The local cider was good, but the food was mediocre. The burger was very heavy and was overly-charred. Only one thin slice of tomato was insufficient to balance it. I could not finish it. The fries were limp and unseasoned, aside from salt. The beer onion rings were light and pleasant. The portions were appropriate bordering on generous. The view is excellent and the building is modern.

This happened some time ago in 2016. My wife and I travel across Montana to try all the Montana Breweries.

During our entire time there not a single glass was taken off of that stack. Sucks that the bartender was such a snob about not having to clean 4 more glasses.

The location is amazing. They have a large open bar with a deck that looks out onto the lake. My favorite is the Rising Sun Espresso. Words cannot espresso how much I love this beer. There are other great beers too, but this one gives me the shakes in a good way.
